OnePlus 5 Review: Should You Buy It?

OnePlus 5: The Latest by OnePlus
Odd right? The last OnePlus phone was the OnePlus 3T. So why not OnePlus 4 now? Well, it's because of tetraphobia. Because of that, many Chinese products avoid the number 4 similar to the OnePlus 5. You can think of the OnePlus 3T as the 4, though, if you want.

OnePlus 5 has undergone a major design makeover with its dual camera coming to the scene.

The OnePlus 5 has the major of its design cues borrowed from the Apple iPhone 7 Plus, starting from the camera setup to even the positioning of the microphone beside the lenses. Had the logo on the back of the OnePlus 5 been replaced by an Apple logo, anyone could have mistaken it for a matte black iPhone 7 Plus. The device looks like a hell of a stunner now.

The OnePlus 5 is now powered by the new Snapdragon 835 chipset which is currently available in most of the flagships. What is not however, available nowadays is the massive 8 GB of RAM (no other smartphone packs such high memory) matched by 128 GB of i…

Leak Suggests Google Pixel 2 May Have a Big Design Flaw

There's some news about the Google Pixel 2
Who doesn't love the Google Pixel? With stock Android and an amazing design, the phone was near perfect. Of course, like all other phones, it too had its own share of cons, but overall, the phone was a masterpiece. Now that, the Pixel 2 is on the way, there is a leak that suggests the Pixel 2 is going to repeat a design flaw that may not be so welcome among the general masses.

The Pixel and Pixel XL had an excellent design but their big bezels at the top and bottom felt quite odd to look at. Now that, Google has partnered with LG and both LG and Samsung had made stunning flagships which had little to none bezels, most expected the Pixel 2 would have very little bezels too. But then there's the leak!
What's the leak?S1 and M1 were the codenames of the Pixel and Pixel XL. But a Japanese blog HTC Soku has discovered that the system files of HTC U11 phone had mentions of S2 and M2. This signifies that most probably the Google Pixel 2…

Don't Expect Samsung's On-Screen Fingerprint Scanner in the Note 8

Samsung Galaxy Note 8 will leave out on the in-screen fingerprint scanner!
Samsung’s upcoming Note 8 is creating a lot of hype among consumers worldwide, with rumors, leaks and reports on the upcoming device increasing with every passing day.
However, if you were one of those guys who were expecting an in-screen fingerprint scanner technology to be featured in the Galaxy Note 8, you may be up for a disappointment. The reason behind that is, an insider from Samsung has claimed that the technology causes imbalance in the phone display’s brightness.
According to recent tests, the area which contains the fingerprint scanner is much brighter than the other parts of the screen. Due to this problem, the Samsung Galaxy Note 8 may most probably, not have the in-screen fingerprint scanner.
However, according to recent rumors, you may expect this tech in the Galaxy S9 though! After the incidents of Samsung Note 7’s batteries catching fire, Samsung has stepped up several additional security checks for…

Now You Can Replace Google Assistant with Microsoft's Cortana in your Android Device

You can now replace Google Assistant or Google Now with Microsoft's Digital Assistant "Cortana" in your Android Phone
While Microsoft's Windows is the dominating OS in the world of computing, Android and iOS are the key players when it comes to smartphones and tablets or iPads. Microsoft tried its best, but failed in its attempt to gain a foothold in the phone OS industry too, as evidenced by the Nokia Lumia phones.
As such, Microsoft has now started a different and new strategy. It has started pushing consumers in both the Android and iOS camps to install their apps for their respective OS.
And with this strategy, they have introduced their Digital Assistant Cortana to be used in Android phones. Users can also replace Google Assistant/Google Now (whichever they use) with Microsoft's Cortana digital assistant.
To get Cortana, you need to have the app "Cortana for Android". The latest update (update 2.8.0) of the app provides you with the ability to replace …

The Google Pixel 2 may be a Samsung Galaxy S8 Killer?

Can the Google Pixel 2 beat the Samsung Galaxy S8! Really?
When the Samsung Galaxy S8 first came out, there was quite a change in the phone market.
First off, Samsung Galaxy S8's sales beat even that of the Apple's iPhone.
And secondly, the phone was the first Android phone to achieve a higher benchmark score than that of its iOS counterpart. It may be the best phone this year, but there is a concept of the Google Pixel 2 by DBS Concept, which if actualised in the original phone may be a S8 Killer.
While there is no official word on the Pixel 2, and all we got are leaks, reports and rumours regarding the Pixel 2, this stuff may certainly be a game changer among phones.

It is all set and expected to hit stores by May 2018 (I think January 2018). However a company spokesperson said that LG hadn't yet decided on the exact launch date.

Sony Xperia XZ Premium Review: Should you Buy it

The Sony Xperia XZ Premium is a genuine flagship smartphone. It boasts a top end 4K display, with the latest Snapdragon chipset under its gorgeous body. Accompanying that with Sony's photography and audio expertise, the phone is surely a stunner!

Pros
1. Stunning 4K display.
2. Excellent camera.
3. Great battery life.
4. Beautiful build quality.

Cons
1. Design a bit dated and does not look so premium.
2. Lack of 4K content reduces display advantages.

All its specifications sounds great but also note that while other companies out there are stretching their screens, opting for a bezel-less display, Sony still chose to cram those extra pixel within a much smaller display, with a bezel.

While other companies are busy out there adding dual cameras to their flagships, Sony was busy adding an extra memory buffer layer in a high-resolution sensor to capture slo-mo videos. That however doesn't mean that Sony's product are worse. It highlights their expertise in those field. And I personal…

Google Pixel 2: All about the Upcoming Pixel

Google's Upcoming Flagship Phone: The Pixel 2
The Pixel was Google's first internally designed handset, which happened to get a lot of things right. It had an amazing camera, it was the first device to showcase the Android Nougat, and had amazing performance with one of the best battery life you would ever see on a mobile phone. I personally liked its looks very much. The Pixel was however, plagued by a hefty price and had some component trade-offs compared to its high-end Android rivals.
It was like an iPhone for the Android ecosystem.
Apple's devices usually get significant improvements and refinements on its subsequent sequels, and so I expect the same with Google's iPhone-esque take on Android. Well, the time when we get to see the Google Pixel 2 is surely not far away. So let's see all there is about the Google Pixel 2 out yet including leaks, reports and rumours!

Samsung Galaxy Note 8: Can it get even Better?

Samsung Galaxy Note 8: Leaks, Reports and Pretty Much Everything about it!
In late 2016, Samsung had introduced a critically praised smartphone which seemed to do everything right. After a few weeks the phones started catching fire. Samsung recalled and replaced them, but the replaced ones too, started catching fire. Samsung therefore had to stop the production of the Galaxy Note 7.
It was, and even now, one of the best phones ever made, (not considering the battery problem) that you can buy. To me, the Samsung Galaxy Note 7 was the best looking phone Samsung had ever introduced. Heck, I find its looks even slightly better than the Galaxy S8 or S8 Plus, mainly because of Samsung's decision to omit the signature physical home key in hunt for a "bezel-less Infinity" Display (but that is just my opinion).

This time, fans are looking forward to the Note 8, which is not yet released by Samsung and it is code-named Great.

As a pretty big Note fan, I am excited about how Samsung&…

Named as the "OnePlus 5", the Chinese company has omitted the number "four" due to it being considered in China as a bad luck.

With quite a large amount of leaks and rumors about the phone, the hype is clearly building among us. To top it off, a blurry image presumably showing the OnePlus 5 has been leaked! Let's see what the latest "flagship killer" has to offer us now that its release date has been confirmed!
