New Samsung Galaxy S8 Plus: 6 GB RAM, 128 GB Internal Storage

Samsung Galaxy S8 Plus

There is no doubt - The Samsung Galaxy S8 and S8 Plus are the best phones in the market yet. And there is no telling how long they are going to stay. Even non Samsung lovers are going to fall for this flagship phone by Samsung. A gorgeous branded "Infinity Display" ranked by DisplayMate Technologies as the best phone display, complemented with the latest Snapdragon 835 and Exynos 8895 processor which puts it on par with the iPhone 7Plus, this phone packs a punch with a lot other features too.

But some guys were not happy with the Galaxy S8 keeping the RAM (memory) same at 4 GB. Well, there's good news.

Samsung Galaxy S8 Plus is getting a new Variant

The new Samsung Galaxy S8 Plus, which features 6 GB RAM and 128 GB internal storage, with all other features remaining the same, is on sale only in South Korea. The price is also quite hefty - a good amount of $1017. However, the Samsung DeX platform which costs about $150 is free with the new S8 Plus variant according to the official Samsung's Korean website.

The same information was also sighted in Samsung China's website. No official date has been given for the Galaxy S8 Plus 6 GB RAM variant's launch in any other country, so if you want the new variant, you may have to wait. Also, the 128 GB internal storage does not compromise on external storage as it remains the same (till 256 GB Micro-SD)

Truthfully, there is no need for any more RAM, as the Exynos variant of the Samsung Galaxy S8 and S8 Plus scores higher than the iPhone 7 Plus in benchmark tests, considering, that iPhones are usually the best performing phones. Also, in real world tests, the S8 has been shown to be on par with the iPhone 7 Plus.

So, what's the difference between the S8 Plus and S8?

Not much. The S8 Plus has got a bigger display (6.2 inch) against the S8's (5.8 inch) display and a bigger battery of 3500 mAh against the S8's 3000 mAh.
